The Manager, Industry Engagement is an ambassador for the University, managing and implementing strategic relationships that deliver outcomes aligned with Swinburne’s 2025 Strategy.
This role works closely with professional and academic colleagues across the university to communicate and scope opportunities, with the goal of building, developing, maintaining and growing relationships to deliver multiple outcomes.

The Manager contributes to the development of multifaceted relationships and shares intelligence on opportunities within existing partnerships so that projects and activities are coordinated in a seamless fashion.About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Manage the delivery of the sector specific engagement activities within the portfolio team.
- Organise and facilitate partnership activities to advance the objectives of the University’s Horizon 2025 Strategy.
- Appraise opportunities that come to Swinburne’s Innovation & Enterprise portfolio, assessing them against the University’s capabilities and strategy, progressing them when deemed suitable.
- Work with University staff to establish and achieve faculty, school and research centre engagement priorities.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification and subsequent relevant experience in external relations, industry engagement or relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in industry engagement and stakeholder management, preferably in a tertiary education environment.
