Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by accurately processing transactions and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to handle cash transactions and interact with customers in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, efficient service while processing their orders and payments.
- Accurately handle cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions, ensuring the correct amount is received and change is provided if necessary.
- Maintain a secure cash drawer, reconcile cash at the end of each shift, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor or manager.
- Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure orders are prepared and served in a timely manner, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with customers in a polite, professional, and friendly manner, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring all promotional materials are readily available.
Requirements:
- A HND/BSC graduate
- Previous 4-5 years experience as a cashier, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent numerical skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and efficiently process orders and payments.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.
