The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant to join the UCLA Division of Population Behavioral Health. You will provide research support and data administration for 4Youth Project, a community partnered participatory research project that aims to improve prevention and early intervention mental health and social services for ethnic minority adolescent and young adults living in under-resourced communities. Primary duties include: * Scheduling and conducting assessments and interviews for research studies * Data processing, data logging, data entry, transcription, etc. * Maintaining research project-related documents * Assist with development of research protocol documents including but not limited to IRB, recruitment and engagement materials, consent/assent, questionnaires, etc. * Assist with coding of transcripts and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses * Scheduling and coordinating meetings and teleconference calls * Laboratory support for projects * Other duties as assigned Salary: $24.88/hr - $29.67/hr

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field (preferred) Knowledge of social science research, involving patient contact, consent, data collection, and data tracking Experience in data entry, data checking, data management, and data analysis Skill in maintaining accurate timekeeping Skill in maintaining organized filing systems Skill in editing reports, correspondence, manuals, etc., for grammar and punctuation Ability to schedule patient and administrative appointments accurately High level ability in the use of a PC using all Windows applications Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients and the public at all times Skill at prioritizing assignments and ability to work concurrently on several projects Ability to maintain confidentiality in the strictest sense
